Hello Brusher,
During the month of Veganuary, many people are thinking about how the consumption of animal-derived products impacts us and the environment. But how many of you actually wonder if animal ingredients could be present in your toothpaste? Most of the toothpastes we find on supermarket shelves are still mostly just a mix of different chemicals. The situation worsens when they also contain animal ingredients.
So what’s in toothpastes that isn’t vegan:
- Glycerin from animal fats
- Lactoferrin (antimicrobial substance, from cow's milk)
- Beeswax and pollen
- Animal bone meal (as an abrasive)
- Animal testing during production
Vegan toothpastes are therefore free of animal ingredients and have not been tested on animals.
Our toothpastes in promis paste (with and without fluoride) are not only 100% vegan, but also 99% natural and organic.
