What the plaque?
The bacterial Plaque is a substance transparent composed of bacteria that live in the mouth and substances from our food such as sugars, carbohydrates, and lipids. Especially the sugars they allow bacteria to feed and therefore multiply.
The Plaque begins to form immediately after eating and, if not removed, can cause very serious problems. At first, it leads to the formation of cavities, theinflammation of the gums (gingivitis) and over time can lead to periodontitis, causing tooth loss.
Dental Plaque often forms underrated because, being invisible, it acts in a hidden way. The best method to remove it is good daily oral hygiene. If this is not done, the Plaque accumulates and over time tartar forms. This is clearly visible in yellow, brown, or even black colors.
